Renewing an Individual Membership

NOTE: If your library wishes to process all membership renewals at once and generate a single invoice, please coordinate with the dues representative for your library (see these instructions).  Do not begin the renewal process as an individual.

To renew any type of individual membership (Regular, Sustaining, Associate,  Student):

  1. Log into http://llsdc.org
  2. On the right hand side of the screen, under “Manage Your Info” click “My Memberships.”
    • If you don’t see this screen click “Home/Login” on the upper left menu

  3. You will see an “active” record with the opportunity to renew.  You may also see an archive record as well.  Please disregard any archive records.  Click “Renew” to begin the process.
  4. You will see your current membership information
    • If you need to change your membership type, do not complete the renewal.  Contact membership.llsdc@gmail.com.
    • If necessary, make changes to your Special Interest Groups
    • Select your payment type
    • If your current information is correct (phone number, email, etc.) select “I am done, mark my renewal complete”
    • If you need to make changes to your current information, select “I still need to make changes to my information”
      • On the next page, make necessary changes and click “Edit Membership Application”

  5. If paying by check, you will be receive a confirmation page:
    • Click print to view your membership application/renewal. You can print this page to mail with your check or click “view invoice” if you’d prefer to print an invoice
    • The renewal process will be complete only after the check is received and processed. This takes several weeks or more. For this reason, LLSDC has a two-month membership grace period, so memberships remain active. Members will continue to receive renewal notices, however. If payment has been sent, these notices can be disregarded.

  6. If paying by credit card, you will be directed to Paypal. You can pay with a Paypal account or with a credit card. NOTE: Paypal is very sensitive regarding security and will sometimes reject a credit card. If this happens, please contact Paypal support (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_contact-phone). Renewals paid by credit card are processed at the point of payment.
