Event Notes:

On Thursday, October 28, 2010, from Noon to 1:00 pm, LLSDC's Federal Law
Librarians' Special Interest Section will be holding a brown bag luncheon
program on applications and implications of the Ethics in Government Act.
The program will be held at the main Federal Reserve Board (Eccles)
building at 20th and C Streets, NW in the Board's Research Library's large
conference room (Room B-C 241-E). The program will be conducted by Federal
Reserve Board Assistant General Counsel Cary Williams, who is the Board's
Designated Agency Ethics Official.  Following the program, for those
interested, a tour of the Board will be given, including the Board's
Research and Law Libraries. The tour should be over at 1:30 pm.

Those interested in attending "must register" by contacting Law Library
Assistant Shadonna Simmons (202-452-2454) or Assistant Law Librarian, Rick
McKinney (202-452-3283). Registration to enter the Board requires ones full
name, birth date, and Social Security number. All pre-registrants must come
to the Board's Visitor Center on 20th Street between C Street and
Constitution Avenue where you will be given name badges and escorted to the
Research Library which is just down the hallway.

There is no nearby Metro Train Station to the Federal Reserve Board main
building. The closest ones (Foggy Bottom and Farragut West) are some nine
or ten blocks from the Board. However, at 11:50 am, a white 14 passenger
van, driven by Rick McKinney, will pick up registered attendees in front of
the Farragut West Station (on I Street at 18th Street). Also, the Metrobus
80 travels on Virginia Avenue during the day (as well as H Street and K
passengers off near the Board buildings at 19th Street or 21st Street.
