To help in these tough times, LLSDC is offering a discounted membership rate for current LLSDC members who are recently unemployed. The discounted membership appears as an "Active" membership but is billed at the student rate ($25 instead of $50). The discounted rate is good through May 31, 2011. Because the Institute is in March we have a special deadline for applications for this program. All applications must be submitted to me by noon on February 5.

The Law Librarians Society of Washington. D.C. will be holding the 2010 Legal Research Institutes at the Georgetown Law Library on March 9th and 10th.

We are planning to start back up the fiction/leisure reading book club that we had going for several years. The first date is Wednesday, January 20. We will plan on every third Wednesday and the meetings will be from 6-7pm to catch you right after work.
