Candidate for Vice-President/President-Elect
Biography:
I am currently the Library Supervisor of the Washington D.C. office of Latham & Watkins LLP. I have held this position for 5 years, having previously served as the legislative librarian for approximately 6 years. I served as President of the LLSDC Legislative Interest Section for one year. Prior to joining Latham, I was a reference librarian at the U.S. Senate Library for 9 years. Earlier in my carrier, I worked at a public library, a police training academy library, and for two other Washington law firms. I am a graduate of Fordham University with a BA in English and Medieval Studies. I have an MLS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I also attended law school for one year. I have lived in the District for over 20 years.
Candidate Statement:
I wish to serve as Vice President-President Elect in order to learn more about my fellow law librarians and to assist LLSDC in providing more educational, training and networking opportunities.
